LaSalle Hotel

Members of Texas pioneer Stephen F. Austin's settlement colony began settling in what would become Bryan, the county seat of Brazos County, in the 1820s and 1830s. The small town, named for Austin's nephew, William Joel Bryan, flourished with the coming of the Houston and Texas Central Railroad in1866. The rural and ranching area was further enhanced with the establishment of Texas A&M University in Bryan's twin city, a stop dubbed College Station by the railroad. By 1928 Bryan needed a major hotel, and the seven-story brick LaSalle was completed. Now owned by the city of Bryan, the hotel underwent a $6 million renovation and reopened in 2000. A main street-style, boutique hotel, the LaSalle boasts its original terrazzo lobby floor and individually appointed guest rooms.

55 guest rooms, 12 suites. Queen Parlor Suites come with a Jacuzzi(r) hot tub, refrigerator, and a TV in each room (including the bathroom).

Dining:

Continental breakfast included in room rate. Clementine's, adjacent to the hotel, serves lunch and dinner and provides room service. Pass program with local restaurants.

Meetings:

Three rooms available for meetings and social gatherings; audio-visual equipment available. Can accommodate up to 100 guests for banquets.

Location:

LaSalle Hotel is in the heart of downtown Bryan at Main and 27th Streets, just minutes from Easterwood Airport at College Station, and 100 miles northwest of Houston. Local attractions include Texas A&M University and the George H.W. Bush presidential library at College Station, Brazos Valley Museum of Natural History, Messina Hof Winery, numerous shops, and restaurants.
